Privacy Policy

Draft — Pending Legal Review
This is a starter template and has not yet been reviewed by legal counsel. Do not rely on it as final policy. The live version will be updated before the service goes to production.

1. Who We Are

Nexus Bio ("we," "us," "our") provides biological performance analytics — biomarker analysis reports, optimization protocols, and related content — through nxs.bio. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we protect it.

For questions about this policy or your data, contact us at privacy@nxs.bio.

2. Information We Collect

Contact information: name, email, and any details you submit through our apply form, newsletter signup, or lead magnet forms.

Health information: bloodwork results, biomarker panels, medical history, and related context you provide when purchasing a biomarker analysis report. You provide this voluntarily in exchange for the service.

Payment information: processed by our third-party payment processor. We do not store full card numbers.

Technical information: IP address, browser type, device type, referring URL, and pages visited. Collected via standard server logs and analytics.

3. How We Use Your Information

To deliver the services you request — producing your biomarker analysis report, scheduling walkthroughs, and providing follow-up guidance.

To communicate with you — order confirmations, report delivery, and newsletter content if you subscribed.

To improve our service — aggregate, de-identified analysis of how reports are used and where protocols produce the strongest outcomes.

To comply with legal obligations — tax records, regulatory requests, and fraud prevention.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the third parties required to deliver the service:

Email service provider (Beehiiv) — for newsletter delivery and automated lead magnet fulfillment. Beehiiv processes your email address and any fields you submit through our forms.

Payment processor — for processing your purchase. Your payment details are handled directly by the processor under their own privacy terms.

Professional service providers — accountants, legal counsel, and infrastructure providers bound by confidentiality obligations.

Legal authorities — when required by law, subpoena, or court order.

5. Your Health Information

Biomarker and bloodwork data you provide is treated as sensitive personal information. We store it in access-controlled systems, use it solely to produce your requested report, and do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes — ever.

Nexus Bio is not a covered entity under HIPAA. Our service is educational and analytic, not clinical care. If your clinician provides us with your lab data on your behalf, both parties should confirm the appropriate legal basis before transfer.

6. Data Retention

We retain the data needed to deliver your service and meet legal obligations. After that period, we delete or anonymize personal information.

Biomarker analysis records: retained for up to five years to support longitudinal analysis you may request later. You can request earlier deletion at any time.

Email subscriber data: retained while you are subscribed, plus a reasonable period after unsubscribe to prevent accidental re-subscription.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including the EU under GDPR and California under CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to certain processing.

To exercise these rights, email privacy@nxs.bio with your request. We will respond within the time frame required by applicable law.

8. Cookies and Analytics

We use minimal cookies and standard analytics to understand how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling them will not prevent core functionality.

9. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your data in transit (TLS) and at rest. No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a breach that affects your information, we will notify you as required by law.

10. Children

Our services are not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you believe we have done so, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

12. Contact
